respite..
so, its been roughly four/five days since my last entry. my bad (excuse comin) but ive sorta been on vacation. esther and i took off on tues for new york and providence this wk--shes standin in a weddin (today actually) and we hung out in nyc for a few days prior cuz shes never been there..
we had a good time--hung out w/ a friend from school mostly (thanks dan) who practically gave us a tour of everythin important in the city (aka, restaurants). seriously, we ate a lot--a FREAKIN lot. i think we had this pan-asian eatin experience; from japanese to korean, indian (thanks mungmung) to chinese. esther for once in her life, was dyin for somethin american--man, i could live on kalbi everyday!!
anyways, we re now in providence. esther got up bright and early to do her hair and all the other things necessary for a bridesmaid to be prepared for the weddin. and im sittin here in the days inn surfin the net as i watch the real world..
its been a good wk although weve been away from home. ya kno how annoyin it is to not BE at home cuz youre in some unfamiliar environment and youre havin to get used to your cramp little motel rm. but i guess thats the trade-off one makes when one goes on vacation..
its been good to get away from the montony of my life--of stayin home practically all day, takin care of the dogs and house-errands while endlessly searchin for a job..
and its also been good to actually spend time w/ esther. yeah, chillin w/ the wifey is a good thing in a marriage..
man, i think im just ramblin. in actuality, im mullin over the rosters of my fantasy football teams. see, i realized a few wks back that fall (or 'autumn') is my favorite season of the yr. cuz the unbearin heat/humidity begins to die down (w/o havin to pull out the 5 lb coat). cuz for all practical purposes the yr begins anew in sept cuz thats when things start over for a student (yeah, my brain cant break out of that mentality). and cuz football is back..
anyways, i need to begin gettin ready for the weddin. be back in bmore tomorr..
