some randoms..

- dont know wut to do w/ your old NES console? transform it into a computer!!

- i guess i know im old(er) when my favorite tv show growin up has found its way to tvland..

- my bro-in-law calls me a pessimist (which is true). but why is there an implicit negative association w/ that word? who says seein the world half-empty is bad?

- can someone be a pessimist and not a cynic?

- i had way too many pics in that last entry. got a little excited there (but he is da man)..

- was about to end the entry when i had this last crazy thought: which do you value more--present relationships or former ones?

on the one hand, those currently closest to you are there for you now--to make you laugh, to chill w/ you after a crappy day, or when you need a hug. BUT those friends who are but a memory have helped form the person you are today. they shaped the way you view the world, or take on life, and even your interests and passions. without them, you would not be you..

so which do you value more?

first of all, where's the pic from when we went to king's dominion and rode rollercoasters at the '99 final four?

2) nba all star weekend: it was mad-crazy in atlanta. there was also some flower show and some rodeo contest. dunk contest: dunks were sweet, but the crowd just wasn't into it like when vinsanity was in it a couple of years ago, i just didn't get that same vibe. i thought the mj luvfest was a little too much.... to pose a question, how would you feel if at that stage in your life, it was all 'downhill'? that's probably why he keeps coming back. at 24, i feel that my best years are still ahead of me.

3) your question about friends: i agree with your assessment. i, for one, know that i couldn't imagine how my life would have been without my friends, and even acquaintences. i think friends past and friends present are equally important, but sometimes we look upon friends present with more fondness because they're here for us now, and sometimes friends past with more fondness, because we know how they've affected us.

and finally, to a post from when you were in boston a long time ago, sam adams is good stuff.. i think their best is in the fall. sam adams oktoberfest, one of their seasonal beers. yummmy.
