FIVE THINGS TO WATCH FOR THIS SEASON
1) kobe & the lake show - therapist or not, weve got the nbas version of the playmakers thanks to the mailman and the glove joinin this soap opera..
2) lebron - the chosen one finally arrives. i think, like most, im interested in seein this kids game. more magic than michael, how much will he be able to improve this moribund franchise (cleveland)?
3) id like my western conference super-sized please - how many top teams in the west made huge offseason acquisitions? minnesota, dallas, and la are all sportin new starters while the spurs, kings, and rockets sharpened their benches. is there any reason to even have an eastern conference? (oh wait, tmac plays for orlando..)
4) coachin carousel - okay, so there are 29 teams in the nba. an astoundin ELEVEN of em have new coaches this yr (nine are in the eastern conference). wow--guess hirin a new coach is the latest fad in the league since cornrows..
5) kobe - again? yeah, thats how big and bad this wolf is. like i needed to overstate the obvious..
aite, let the fun and games (and scrutiny) begin..
