lets not call valentine a "saint" just yet..

in readin over mungmungs dilemna of choosin human love vs true love (yes, the nba--cmon, its no contest!!), i began examinin valentines day w/ a very opaquely-colored (certainly, not rose)magnifyin glass..

v-day rolls around every 365 and we see it as a time--or realistically, a meal--we set aside to celebrate and appreciate the special someone in our pathetic and small life. so if we divide the world into two types of people--those who are single and those who arent (in this case, one really has to be one or the other)--then heres wut we have..

those who are single hafta believe the sole purpose in this day is to duly remind em that they are not in a relationship. granted, some dont give a stank while others relish the fact. but it is arguably a point of situational fret as those who will be munchin on an overpriced dinner that nite single out (pun unfortunately intended) and inconsiderately tease those who wont be. wut w/ the day and the couples and ones own insecurities, does any good arise in callin attention to ones single-hood?

those who are in a relationship(s) seldom see this dog-forsaken day as little more than a ruse designed by those in the restaurant biz to boost revenue. sure, the bright-eyed and newly-married (or coupled) hang and drool over the supposed romance of the day, but cmon--everythin gets old and nothin quicker than companionship (cept w/ you, esther =D!!). sides, most couples already celebrate their anniversary which better represents the true beauty and immense joy and...blablabla...of the relationship. so why da hell do we hafta take the wife out on another nite annually??

so mungmung, i say we should be the only two guys this year who are man enough to stand up and fight for wut we believe in (david stern) by hittin the tube to watch all-star saturday!!

course, we ll also be the only two guys who get dumped by their SOs on valentines..

ps - haha, its like this one dude said: the movie shouldnt have been love & basketball but "love OR basketball"..

pps - esther, im not bein serious. haha, right?
