i am a terrible husband..
we are, wut, three wks away from the beginnin of life--er, football season and i spend the weekend:
- playin the new madden (its awesome--i luv defense)..
- doin my first fantasy draft of the yr..
- watchin all 60 mins of a preseason game (PRESEASON!!) when i said i would only watch the first ten (hey, its the redskins)..
wut? NO, i dont have a problem..

hilton head..
two wks ago, esther and i went down to hilton head to chill w/ her family for a wk. she got a much needed vacation and it was grand time..
we rented a beachhouse there, forced the dogs to a 10-hr ride, and had a great time eatin, sleepin, jet-skiin, golfin, and playin some holdem..
the best part, however, was swimmin w/ the dogs. we had our own pool and even though it was tiny, there was enough room for all of us (cocoa, stella, esther, and me -> "the paik family", ugh!). the only thing labs love more than swimmin is retrievin and so when you combine the two, its absolute heaven for em. when we move to cleveland-rocks!, hopefully we can get a pool..
hittin the course was fun and turned out to be a more pleasant experience than i expected. im a master de-motivator, esp when it comes to myself (since i have no mental fortitude wutsoever) so the first day i was just hackin it up; makin line-drives from the tee, landin in the sandtraps out from the rough, and losin millions of balls. the second day was a lot better since i could actually keep score. but i remember why i cant play golf: my desire to play has yet to exceed (or near) my patience to deal w/ the resultin frustration. and theres no way to release all that damn aggravation. in the meantime, ill take baby steps and go to the range when i can (maybe)..
anyways, this entry sucks--wuts new..
